Light

I like a bright place with plenty of direct and indirect light, I can tolerate strong afternoon sun well. I don’t like dark corners.

Irrigation

Water me when my soil is completely dry and the leaves are wrinkled. The humidity level on the hygrometer should be 1 for at least a week. Water me by soaking.

Temperature and humidity

I am most comfortable with temperatures between 15 and 29 °C, the lowest temperature I can tolerate is 10 °C. If I am an outdoor succulent (sandalwood, sedum), I can withstand -20 °C. I prefer low to medium humidity.

Fertilization

During the growing season, provide me with nutrients once a month. I don’t need fertilization in the fall and winter.

Soil and transplanting

I prefer a soil for cacti and succulents that, in addition to black peat, also contains a large proportion of sand or perlite. This makes it breathable and does not retain too much moisture. I need to repot when my roots start to peek out of the holes in the bottom of the pot.

Diseases and pests

I am a very hardy plant, so I am rarely attacked by diseases and pests. The most common pests are mealybugs, mites and mealybugs. So check me regularly and treat me with insecticide or a mixture of neem tonic and water if you see any signs of pests.

Common problems

1. Rot: If my leaves, stems and/or roots are rotting, you have probably overwatered me. Please remove any rotten roots and then replant me in completely fresh and airy soil. From now on, please water me less frequently.
2. Tall and elongated plant: If you notice that I have become a little elongated under your care and am no longer as lush, I probably don’t have enough light. Please move me to a brighter place, you can also bury the bare stem deeper into the ground and I will be as good as new again!
3. Leaf drop: If you notice that my leaves are falling off quickly, I want to warn you that you have forgotten to water a little. It is true that I store a lot of water in the leaves, but even those reserves will be used up over time. I can also drop the leaves due to too frequent watering, in which case you may also see stem and leaf rot.

NOTE

The photos show a sample of one of the plants. Each plant is unique, so slight variations are normal. There may be slight differences in size, variegation, number of leaves, branches, flowers, etc. between the pictured and the purchased plant…

All plants are carefully inspected before shipment to ensure they arrive healthy and as similar as possible to the product in the photo.

All plants are mainly in plastic pots. The height of the pot can be determined from the picture with a measuring tape. The decorative pot is not included in the price.
